The purpose of the solution was to achieve a better overview and improve the handling of the many daily taxi rides at both Bergen and Stavanger airports. Increased customer satisfaction with minimal waiting time, no overcapacity of taxis and an efficient flow was ensured through, among other things, the intelligent and flexible algorithms, a decisive management of traffic to and from the taxi depot and self-service terminals for the drivers.
The taxi depot plays a crucial role in the solution because it is here that overcapacity of taxis is avoided and customer satisfaction is ensured by having an appropriate number of taxis in the airport areas around the clock.
Our TMS system not only benefits the passengers, but also the taxi companies and their employees get a full overview of e.g. waiting time in the depot, access to a web-based system where they can create all their vehicles and extract transaction lists.

Our TMS system strikes the right balance between always having available taxis at the airport while keeping the waiting time at the depot to a minimum, because the system manages the traffic between airport and depot and determines which taxis should drive directly to the airport and which to the depot.
An example of a direct drive could be a maxi-taxi, as the airport requires this type to always be available and ready for pick-up in the airport area.
